Chicken Switch Model GEPB-1 (GEPB1-E & GEPB1-L)
Model GEPB-1 is designed to operate the TRIP and CLOSE buttons on the GE Power Break circuit breaker. The GEPB-1 easily installs over the breaker by aligning it with the top left corner of the breaker and tilting it into place. It is just as easily removed by gently pulling on the bottom handle and tilting it away from the breaker. Two strong neodymium magnets hold it in place over the breaker. There is no need for any modifications to your switchgear. The design of the GEPB-1 also allows the breaker charging handle to be operated with it installed on the breaker. This helps reduce the risk of inadvertently operating the breaker by accidentally “bumping” a button when installing the actuator.
The standard GEPB-1 ships with the Chicken Switch actuator, the hand-held controller, 30-foot cable, carrying case, instruction manual, and 16 AA batteries. Optional 50-foot cable available on all MarkTek wired devices.
There are three versions of the GEPB1 acutator (GEPB1, GEPB1-E, GEPB1-L. Choosing the correct one will be based upon the location of the black ‘ON’ button on your General Electric Power Break breaker. Below is a helpful guide on helping select the correct model number.
