Martek Limited Introduces the Chicken Switch model P11, a newly redesigned remote operator for Square D P-frame breakers. Square D “P frame” (PAF/PAL) breakers are molded case breakers that feature a rotating ON/OFF handle. The new P11 is a wireless actuator that allows the worker to be positioned safely outside of the arc flash hazard boundary while operating the breaker.
The wireless controller contains a FCC approved radio device that is paired exclusively with the actuator to prevent inadvertent operation of other equipment. A cabled version of the P-11 is also available. The P11 is lightweight and mounts securely around the perimeter of the breaker. In most cases, the P11 requires no modification to the breaker or switchgear enclosure to operate.
